Do AI wrong and you’ll be invisible

When AI came along (remember that?) brands jumped on it.

Marketing departments saw the speed and the cost savings and went all in. Over 2/3 of enterprises embraced AI tools to make content.

Production volume went vertical and inbound traffic...flatlined.

Data from Cognism’s 2026 “Inside Inbound” report shows organic traffic to B2B companies has fallen by 1/3 year-over-year and tanked 80% in some sectors.

That’s because average AI content is all over the internet now. Everyone is wearing beige and brands that show up to the party in their own brown togs blend right into the bland.

This is the problem with prompt-and-post. You’re churning out vapid “insights” that the market knows by now to ignore. A recent WordPress VIP report found that 2/3 of consumers are immediately turned off when they see AI used in brand messaging.

So now what?

Smart brands are putting out content with a quality that drives real lead generation and sales: information gain. Posts that give readers knowledge they can’t find anywhere else.

This is the best way to acquire customers today, because buyers don’t book demos based on cardboard copy that AI can extrude in three seconds, they book when you prove you possess unique expertise.
