A big change is coming to AI services

AI users are about to split into two widely divergent groups: those who have and those who have a lot less.

When the era of subsidized pricing comes to an end (which it’s doing now) AI offerings will separate into two tiers: luxury and “good enough.”

Whatever field you’re in, you’ll have to choose. Content creator? Yup, you too.

>The luxury tier
Very expensive models built for large enterprises with big budgets. LLMs in this tier will write quite well because they’ll be maintained by human curators.

>The “good enough” tier
Cheaper open-source models that run on low-cost local servers. They’ll work fine but they’ll be training themselves on an internet filled with vapid AI content and will never create copy with a human spark.

They’ll be quick and efficient, they’ll give you a decent first draft but they’ll never provide the inspired opinion, the unique perspective, the outside-the-box insight that search and social algorithms now reward.

So how do you get that?

You could make your own content (time-consuming). You could hire a writer (expensive).

Or you could partner with a professional who will take your AI drafts and instill the information gain, personal viewpoint and original voice that low-cost open-source models can’t.
